Product Information

GRAPHICA
Curved Steel Panel System

Introduction

Graphica Curved Steel Panels are modular wall covering panels designed with ease of design and installation in mind. They are made of steel for durability, finish coated from the factory, and ready to install.

Since wall surfaces are entirely covered by the panels, substrate preparation is minimal. Be sure to consider the time savings and ease of installation when estimating overall cost of finishing your wall.

We offer customization of the components at reasonable prices. Whether it be custom sizing, pre-cut holes for fixtures, finish colors or textures, please let us know what you have in mind and we will provide you an estimate.

Components Overview

There are seven different components to the Graphica Curved Steel Panel system.

Panel A-1

These panels are the main components of the system. The standard sizes are 600mm x 2400mm and 900mm x 3200mm.

Custom sizes available. Please inquire.

Panel A-2

Panels used for outer wall corners.

Panel A-3

Panels used for inner wall corners.

Joint Bar B

The joint bars are used to fill the gaps between panels and conceal fasteners.

Baseboard C-1

Baseboard components are used to lift the panels off the floor surface, as well as to give the wall a straight finish at the bottom. Baseboards include height adjustable feet to accommodate subtle height differences.

The C-1 baseboard is used in conjunction with the A-1 panel.

Baseboard C-2

The C-2 baseboard is used for outer wall corners with the A-2 panel.

Baseboard C-3

The C-3 baseboard is used for inner wall corners with the A-3 panel.

Design and Installation Examples

Below are drawings which show generally how the components are used in conjunction with one another. Please review the "Installation Details" section for additional details pertaining to planning and installation.

Installation Details

Installation of the Graphica Curved Steel Panels is straightforward. However, it is critical that the installation surface is properly prepared to ensure a good outcome.

Surface Preparation

  • A flat and even installation surface is critical for proper installation of this product. Generally, it is assumed that the installation surface is a framed wall with plywood or OSB sheathing. The wall surface is flat and even plane, and there are no imperfections that would interfere with installation.
  • If the installation surface is uneven, has surface imperfections, or has other issues that could interfere with installation, use furring strips and shims to create flat, even attachment surface.
  • For some outdoor installations, it may be necessary to use furring strips to create an air gap for airflow.

Panel Installation

  • Fasteners are not included with this product, given the range of possible installation surfaces. Please be sure to obtain and use fasteners that are appropriately sized and rated for the attachment surface. For outdoor installations, be sure to use fasteners suitable for outdoor conditions.
  • Pre-mark edges for each panel starting at the inner wall corner. This step is helpful in confirming the overall installation prior to starting work.
  • Install panels sequentially starting from the inner wall corner, carefully aligning each edge to the marks.
  • Insert the Joint Bars as you progress. It is not recommended to wait until the installation is complete because making adjustments could become complicated and tedious.

Other Comments

  • If using furring strips, do not forget to factor in its thickness when calculating dimensions.
